Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including account credentials, email address, display name, profile information, subscription choices, comments, reactions, reports, merchandise votes, waitlist choices, tool inputs or saved results when a tool states that they will be stored, contact-form messages, and communications with us. We also collect operational information such as device and browser information, approximate location derived from network information, pages viewed, referral source, interactions, authentication and security events, cookie or similar-technology identifiers, and diagnostic logs.
If you sign in through Google, we receive the account information authorized through that provider, such as your verified email address and basic profile information. We do not receive your Google password.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the Service; authenticate users; deliver public and subscriber content; operate profiles, comments, reactions, reports, tools, voting, waitlists, and contact forms; send requested transactional and marketing communications; personalize preferences; synchronize approved content; measure performance; prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our terms and community rules; comply with law; and improve the Service.
How we share information
We share information with service providers that host, secure, analyze, deliver email for, or otherwise support the Service, including providers used for hosting, database, authentication, storage, analytics, email delivery, content publishing, and social or newsletter integration. We may share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information for money. Applicable state sale or sharing disclosures will be completed during legal review.
Public information
Information you publish in a public profile, comment, or other public contribution can be viewed and copied by others. Do not publish information you do not want to be public. Email addresses, subscription status, authentication information, and staff moderation notes are not displayed in public profiles.
Cookies and analytics
We use necessary technologies to operate authentication, preferences, security, and core features. We may use nonessential analytics or measurement technologies consistent with your consent choices and applicable law. See the Cookie Policy for more information and available controls.
We send essential account and security messages necessary to operate the Service. We send newsletters and merchandise announcements only according to your choices. You can unsubscribe from optional marketing email using the message link or account settings. Unsubscribing from marketing does not close your account or prevent essential transactional messages.
Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including to operate the Service, maintain security and audit records, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by record type. Deleted information may remain temporarily in restricted backups until overwritten under provider recovery processes, unless law requires longer preservation.
Account deletion
You can request account deletion through account settings after verifying your identity. The active account, personal data, published comments, reactions, merchandise votes, and waitlist records are deleted in accordance with the Service workflow, subject to limited legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup exceptions disclosed here. Authorized administrators may delete accounts under the Terms and Community Guidelines.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or restrict certain processing of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may exercise available account controls directly or contact the privacy address published before launch. We may need to verify your identity.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
Children and international use
The Service is not directed to children below the minimum age established during legal review, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information improperly.
The Service is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
Changes and contact
We may update this Policy. We will post the updated version and effective date and provide additional notice when required. Final legal-entity, mailing-address, and privacy-email details will be added before launch.
